Qualifications, Training & Experience

I have a background in healthcare and previously worked as a nurse and midwife and in public health. I have worked as a counsellor/therapist both in private practice and in the NHS since 2009. I have worked in large London teaching hospitals, initially as a specialist psychotherapist in sexual health and HIV medicine and since 2017 at a specialist centre working with visual impairment. I also have experience working with the police service and in the charitable sector. I have recently left the NHS to concentrate on my private practice. 

I gained an MSc Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy with Adults at Birkbeck College, University of London in 2014. This training is accredited by BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council).

I am in ongoing professional supervision and I am committed to continuing my professional development through contact with professional groups and further learning.
